A unique place, formally the residence for the two lighthouse keepers families, now restored and a wonderfully picturesque Bed and Breakfast offering beautiful ocean views from each room.
Your journey begins with a short drive from the ferry wharf, up a winding narrow road that leads to your home away from home. 54 stairs, across a wooden footbridge and then up a 1000' path brings you to our small, cozy Inn where you will experience the life of a Lighthouse Keeper.
We offer 6 guest rooms, all with a spectacular ocean view. You overlook one of only a handful of remaining wooden lighthouses in Canada. Take note of the rock formations and watch the whales and birds. Swallowtail Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in Canada and a fabulous spot to watch the sunrise.
Indulge yourself - come and stay with us! We offer a non-smoking environment, a full homecooked breakfast in our spacious breakfast room with each night's lodging, satellite TV and positively, the greatest view you will ever experience! One thing we would like to mention is that even though we do try to accommodate families, the terrain, although beautiful, is rocky and so is really not suited for small children.
One thing you should be aware of... we are located at a lighthouse that is fully operational so depending on the weather the foghorn may be blowing.
